The Annual Academic Ceremony for 2024 will take place on Friday the 17^th of May 2024 at the 威尼斯赌博游戏_威尼斯赌博app-【官网】 of Augsburg. Attendees can expect a varied and colourful programme that provides an insight into the diverse and dynamic work taking place at the university.

Alongside a welcome by Vice-President Prof. Peter Welzel, prizes will be awarded to outstanding early-career researchers as well as committed students.

The President of the 威尼斯赌博游戏_威尼斯赌博app-【官网】 of Augsburg, Prof. Sabine Doering-Manteuffel, will deliver a speech entitled “The flying carpet: From myth to flying object” to mark the academic year 2023/24. Prof. Wolgang Reif, director of the Institute for Software & Systems Engineering, will also give a talk on innovation inspired by nature. Quadrocopters are an example of this, which interact with the help of swarm intelligence.

The Universal Swing Orchestra under the direction of Dr Christoph Teichner will provide a lively musical programme to accompany the ceremony.
