In the second year of offering the bachelor’s course?Experimental Economics, twelve students participate in a hands-on research project focused on the design and implementation of economic experiments. The students form?four groups of three, with each group responsible for?developing, designing, and programming?their own experimental study.

After all groups present their proposed experiments,?students and supervisors vote?to select one experiment for?real online implementation. The chosen experiment will then be launched to an online platform, where data will be collected for analysis. The group whose experiment is selected organizes and prepares the data, while the remaining three groups are responsible for?the statistical analysis to present the study’s experimental results.

The course is designed to give students first-hand experience with all stages of experimental research, including design development, technical implementation, and empirical analysis. Teamwork plays a central role throughout, as students collaborate closely within small groups to bring their research ideas to life. It offers a great opportunity to apply economic theory in a research-oriented setting.
